The Origin of OGM
Early in his career as a project manager, Mirza kept asking a question that no one could answer clearly: Where do projects truly begin, and how do they connect to the larger purpose of the organization?
That question became the spark that changed the direction of his career. He began studying corporate strategy, portfolio management, and organizational alignment. Over time, he was given the opportunity to help plan strategy for entire organizations, defining what companies needed to do to grow and strengthen their bottom line.
Through over two decades of study, testing, and hands-on work across different industries, a clear pattern emerged: a natural flow that connects Vision all the way down to Projects. Every project, every program, and every task must start from something larger. The organization's mission and vision.
What shocked him most was how few people truly knew this connection. He began asking project managers with over fifteen years of experience if they could clearly explain why their projects existed. Most could not.
That insight became the turning point. Mirza created OGM (Organizational Goals Management) to make the hidden visible, and to explain in a practical way how an organization's strategy flows all the way to the projects that bring it to life. He then built GEM (Goals Execution Matrix) as the engine that makes alignment measurable, and GEMAXIOM as the platform that operationalizes both.
Today, Mirza leads EnthSky LLC, the company behind GEMAXIOM. He wrote The System for Breakthrough Execution to share the system with every leader who has ever asked, "Why are we doing this?"
